Description
Quality Fare and The Spinning Jenny is a former house that has been converted into a shop, located at the end of a row in Minchinhampton. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with an ashlar chimney and a stone slate roof. The building is two stories tall with an attic and a cellar.
The front features a three-window arrangement, which has been altered with 20th-century small-paned shop windows on the ground floor, including one in the former central doorway. There is a central blocked window opening on the upper floor, flanked by outer 16-pane sash windows. A blocked cellar opening is also present. The attic has a central gabled dormer with a leaded iron casement. There is a chimney on the east gable end, which has the remains of a painted advertisement below it. Additions to the rear of the building are not considered of special interest. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
