Description

Lloyds Bank, located at Nos 3 and 5 on Minchinhampton High Street, is a former house that has been converted into two offices. It dates from the early 17th century and is constructed of random rubble limestone with smooth incised render, featuring rebuilt ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building is two stories high with an attic and has a front elevation with two full gables, each containing a 2-light recessed cavetto mullioned casement window, one of which has leaded glass.

No 3 features a projecting glazed shop front with a central doorway and a 12-pane sash window on the upper floor. No 5 has been altered at the ground floor in the early 19th century, with two 12-pane sash windows and a doorway to the right that includes a moulded stone flat porch hood supported by shaped brackets. This door is a 6-panel fielded type with a rectangular light above it, and there is a central 12-pane sash window on the upper floor with a smaller sash window to the left. The rear of the building has two full gables with various windows, though the interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a small railed area at No 5, featuring decorative spear tops and principal posts topped with urn finials.
