Description

No. 47 Long Street is a former dwelling and greengrocer dating from the 17th century. The building features smooth rendering, a wooden moulded cornice, and a hipped slate roof with some pantile at the back. It is a long structure with the front hip extending back to a ridge that it shares with No. 49. The back wall includes some wattle and daub fill at the upper level. The building has three storeys and one window, which is a sash without glazing bars, adorned with stepped voussoirs and projecting keys. There is a late 19th-century shop front and an early plank door leading to a throughway on the left. It was likely built as a pair with No. 49, although the gable has been replaced.
