Description

No. 44 Long Street is a dwelling and shop that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features rough render on a timber frame and a stone slate roof. The building has two unequal gables that project from the ridge. It stands three storeys tall, with the gables containing a three-light casement window on the left and a small fixed light on the right, along with a sash window without bars on the first floor. The shop front, which was added in the late 19th century, is broad and includes a canted bay on the left, followed by two wide panes and a central recessed glazed door. No. 44 was built at the same time as No. 46, and the details of both buildings are similar.
