Description

No. 49 Long Street is a dwelling and shop dating from the 17th century. It features rough render on a timber frame and a stone slate roof. The building is long with a gable that projects from the ridge towards the street. At the time of the survey, the back of the property was semi-derelict. There is a stack located at the back left. The building has three storeys and one window, with a small sash window in the gable and another sash window on the first floor. Both windows lack glazing bars and are set in a wide surround at the wall face. The shop front, which dates from the late 19th century, possibly indicating it was established in 1884, consists of five bays and includes a glazed door.
