Description
Toadsmoor is a detached house located on Frogmarsh Lane in South Woodchester. It dates from the late 17th century, with a late 18th-century addition. The building is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features ashlar chimneys and a stone slate roof.
The house is two storeys high with an attic and has a single-storey addition at the rear. The front of the original 17th-century house has a two-window arrangement on the left, showcasing three-light chamfered mullioned casements with a continuous hoodmould on the ground floor. There is a central single-light casement where a door once was, and a 20th-century casement in the central raking roof dormer. To the right, the addition has a single-window segmental arched casement and a segmental arched doorway to the left of the ground floor casement. The gable ends feature chimneys, and there is a blocked upper floor doorway at the west end with a timber lintel. At the rear, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed addition. The interior has not been inspected.
