Description
The Old Bakery, originally two houses in a row, is now a detached house dating from around 1840. It features an ashlar limestone front, coursed rubble sides, and an earlier random rubble rear wing, with a rendered chimney and a Welsh slate roof. The building is two stories tall with a cellar and has a two-story rear wing. The front has a three-window arrangement, with doorways alternating on the ground floor. The windows are 12-pane sashes, except for a central canted bay window on the ground floor and a false painted window on the upper floor to the left. The ground floor has six-panel doors with a rectangular light above, and there is a carved panel above the left doorway on the upper floor. Simple iron railings enclose a forecourt. The rear wing, attached at the south end, appears to be taller than the earlier random built structure. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
