Description
Cornerways and Neuholme are two houses located at the end of a row on Woodchester High Street, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble limestone and feature rebuilt artificial stone chimneys. The houses have a stone slate roof, with concrete tiles on the rear. They are two stories high, with a curved north end that follows the street line. The windows are scattered timber casements with timber lintels, although there are some 20th-century replacements and alterations, including a doorway to Neuholme that has a concrete lintel and artificial stone patching. Cornerways is the least altered of the two, featuring a six-panel door with a timber lintel. The interiors have not been inspected. The houses hold an important position at the north entry to the village and are included for their group value.
