Tippets Field Barn About 175 Metres South West Of Severndale Farm

Tippets Field Barn is a field barn located about 175 metres southwest of Severndale Farm, adjacent to the A48. It dates from the 19th century and is constructed of sandstone rubble with a pantile roof, which includes a lean-to shelter shed on the left side, featuring three courses of stone slate at the eaves of the main barn. The barn has a T-plan layout, with a deep hipped cart entry on the far side and a roof ridge that is lower than the main one. It features full-height pair plank doors, and on the roadside, there is a plank door on the left and a two-light wood mullioned opening on the far left. There are two rows of putlog holes at the front and on the north gable. Although this is a modest free-standing barn, it remains unmodified in its form and external detail. The interior has not been seen.
