Description

The tithe barn, located beside Glebe Farmhouse, likely dates to the 15th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries, later serving as a village hall. The barn is constructed with a timber frame, featuring weatherboarding on the yard side, a half brick wall on the roadside, and stone walling to one end. It has an old plain tile roof, and a half-hipped roofline. The barn is six bays wide, originally featuring double doors, now a single door set in the centre bay with panels on either side. A high-set window is to the left and a door is at the right end. Internally, the walls are plastered around the posts and the roof is boarded, but posts, cambered ties, and king posts remain visible.
