Description
Glebe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed of pebbledashed brick and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a layout of two bays by two bays. The road-facing elevation features three two-light casements, with mesh in front of the right bay, and a two-light casement in the left bay. Above the left bay, there is an 18th-century two-light leaded casement, and above the right bay, there is another two-light casement. The left end, facing east, has two full-height arches with recessed panels, which contain two-light pointed Gothic casements on the ground floor. The roof is hipped and has a central stack. The farmhouse was likely designed with a picturesque elevation intended to be seen when entering Mottisfont Abbey through the southern lodge.
