Description

Mottisfont House and The Little House is a private residence that was formerly a rectory, with an earlier building attached. The earlier part dates back to the 17th century, while the rectory was built around 1812. The house features a stuccoed brick exterior with a slate roof, while the older section is rendered brick and possibly timber-framed, topped with an old plain tile roof.

The building is three stories high with a three-bay front and a double pile layout, and to the right of the front is a 1½-story, three-bay older range. The entrance front includes a single-storey range with a central entrance flanked by pilasters and two Ionic columns that support an entablature. On either side of the entrance are 15-pane sash windows with low sills. The parapet has stone coping, and the first floor features 12-pane sashes, while the second floor has 6-pane sashes. The roof is overhanging and hipped, with stacks at the ends. The older part to the right has 12-pane sashes on the ground floor and two-light hipped dormers on the roof, which has a half-hipped end.
