Description

Philpots Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1759, as indicated by a brick stamp. It is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork and has a Welsh slate hipped roof with end stacks. The main block is symmetrical, facing east towards the Severn, with a swept-down roof at the rear and a hipped stair projection lacking windows. Lean-to wings are slightly set back on either side. The farmhouse is two and a half storeys high and has three windows on the front elevation. The principal windows are arranged in three tiers, with a small two-light casement in a dropped apron above two three-light casements with bars and a central lunette, over two further three-light casements with bars. All windows are set within segmental brick arches. A central plank door is set within a segmental arch. In the small lean-to wings there is a circular opening over a two-light casement with bars. At the rear, a central door provides access.
