Description
The barn at Titchborne Farm is a late 18th century structure built from English bond brick with a half-hipped tiled roof. It has an L-shaped plan and consists of six bays. There are opposing entries, with the north side featuring a half-hipped porch, while the south side includes one buttress with two offsets, steel doors, arrow loop vents, and planked doors. There is a one-bay south-west wing that shares these same details. The north side has a weatherboarded lean-to cowshed that faces the yard. Inside, the tie-beam roof is supported by straight bracing to jowled main posts, and features pairs of raking struts supporting two tiers of purlins, with the upper tier clasped by a collar.
