Description
Langley Wood Cottage is an estate cottage from the early 19th century, located on the Hamptworth Estate. It is constructed of Flemish garden wall bond brick and features a plain and fishscale tiled roof, along with ornamental brick stacks. The building has an H-plan layout and is a single storey with three windows. The front includes a six-panelled door flanked by two-light cast-iron casements, and to the left, there is a three-light bay window, all of which have hexagonal-shaped panes. The right side of the cottage has two bay windows with three-light casements, while the left side is windowless. The decorative stacks are cylindrical and sit on octagonal bases. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage is a notable example of estate architecture in Hamptworth.
