Description
Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century that was refenestrated in 1963. It features square-panelled timber framing and a half-hipped tiled roof, with an axial brick stack and another on the left gable. The building has a baffle entry plan and consists of four bays. It is two stories tall with five windows. A 20th-century door is located in a gabled porch to the right of the center, with 20th-century metal casements on both sides and five more on the first floor. The rear of the farmhouse has been refaced in English bond brick and also features 20th-century metal casements. The brick stacks are diagonally set on a steeply pitched roof. Inside, the farmhouse has deeply chamfered beams supporting unusually high ceilings, exposed chamfered joists with step and run-out stops, and blocked open fireplaces. The original roof includes two tiers of butt purlins and straight windbracing. The farmhouse has been renovated since 1960 by Longford Estate.
