Description

LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/90 Monument to JOSEPH (?) TAMPLIN in the churchyard c16.5m north-east of north-east corner of chancel of church of St Mary - II Pedestal tomb. Late C18. Sandstone. Moulded top, fluted frieze at east and west ends, sunk moulded panels north and south. Inscriptions only partly legible, include Joseph (?) Tamplin, 1783. This memorial lies cl.5m to the north of another memorial to Joseph Tamplin, 1778 (qv).
