Description

Highfield is a detached dwelling built around 1820. It features attractive sandstone ashlar over a plinth, with an eaves band and box eaves supporting a low-pitched hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. The roof has four ashlar stacks at the eaves, each with moulded cappings. The building is two storeys high and has a three-windowed front with 12-pane sash windows that have stone cills and plain sandstone lintels. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set beneath a slightly pointed four-centre arch, topped with a decorative fanlight. While there are some modern extensions, the building maintains a very elegant facade that is set at an angle to the road.
