Description
The Cummins Monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 2.5 meters east-north-east of the north-west corner of the vestry wing of the Church of St. Mary. It commemorates Cummins, who died in 1806, and is made of stone. The monument features a tall urn with leaf moulding on the lower part and a swept top that leads to a square base. The surface is weathered, and there is a step with a moulded edge on the lid. The plain frieze includes sunk rectangles on the sides with moulded edges, a central oval for the inscription, and leaf moulding in the spandrel. The plinth has a moulded top. There are later inscriptions added to the monument.
