Description

TIDENHAM GENERAL ST 59 NE 10/195 Monument to Christian Webley in the churchyard c14 metres south east of tower face of the Church of St Mary and St Peter GV II Chest tomb. Mid C18. Sandstone. Flat top to moulded edge, ¼ balusters, large panels with drafted edges north and south, similar east and west, base, partly broken at time of survey, December 1983, on platform. Top also inscribed. To Christian Webley, 1776, but others, not now legible, probably earlier. In alignment with Elinor Webley and Walter Webley monuments (qv), and one of a group of four family memorials.
