Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 metres south of the east wall of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and lyre ends. At the time of the survey in November 1983, the base was noted to be sunk. Some lettering remains on the tomb, but no date or name can be identified. This tomb is one of a pair of unidentified memorials in this area, with this one being the more northerly of the two.
