Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 7 metres south of the southwest buttress of the tower of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top and plain panels, with no base. While the inscription is mostly illegible, the year 1788 can be discerned on the top. It is part of a triangular group of three tombs in this area, situated to the north of the Mary King monument.
