Description
The remains of a chantry chapel, dating to the 16th century, now serve as a dwelling. The structure is built of coursed sandstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The roof features a gable facing the road and a hipped rear, with a coursed sandstone stack set at a 45-degree angle on the outer corner, and a second stack on the cross gable to the left. The building is two-and-a-half storeys and has a single window in the gable, featuring a hollow chamfered surround. Below this are two 2-light steel casements with wood lintels, and the remnants of moulded drips. A 19th-century hexagonal bay is located to the left of a 20th-century glazed door. On the return to the left, a blocked single light at first floor mirrors the design of the front gable, above a blocked opening with a segmental arch. The interior has been extensively modified; the front ground floor room is notably tall and contains a chamfered beam. The surviving elements represent only a remnant of the original chapel.
