Description

St Bride's Well is a well-head likely dating from the 19th century. It is built into a sandstone retaining wall and features a round shaft approximately 1 metre in diameter. The well has an opening with a steel gate at its pointed head, which is set back about 1 metre within a square-headed opening that is also around 1 metre wide. The flanking responds on either side are each about 600 mm wide. While the current structure is probably from the 19th century, it is likely situated on a much older site.
