Description

The well head, dating from the 18th century, is constructed of red sandstone random rubble masonry. It features an opening approximately one metre high, which is set into a bank. The design includes a semi-circular recess with a stone lintel and a partially damaged flat sill beneath it, over which water flows into a small stream. At the time of the last survey in May 1983, the well head was partially obscured by undergrowth.
