Description
Broomcroft is a 17th-century cottage located in Ash Priors. It is constructed of painted rubble masonry, with a rendered facade and a thatched roof. The cottage has a three-cell and cross-passage plan, with rendered stacks positioned to the left and right. It is one and a half storeys high, featuring irregularly placed windows. There are three dormers, two of which have three-light ovolo moulded mullion windows; another dormer is located to the right of the entrance. A small, moulded glazed opening is found in the outer bay to the right, likely originally lighting a stair bay. Two-light casement windows are present to the left, and in the outer bay to the left. Raking buttresses flank a rustic wooden porch with a thatched lean-to roof located in the second bay to the left, which contains a 20th-century door.
