Description

The remains of a cross, likely from the 14th century, are located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Lawrence, southeast of the south porch. This cross is made of red sandstone and features an octagonal shaft with concave broaches, standing 660 millimeters tall and set in a chamfered socket measuring 760 by 940 millimeters. According to Pooley's "Old Crosses of Somerset" from 1877, there is a lower stage of the cross that is probably now hidden beneath the ground.
