Description

Salters Well is an 18th-century well located in Tarporley. It is constructed from red sandstone and header-bond brick. The well features a semicircular stone retaining wall approximately 3 feet high, which is positioned in front of a stone pavement. There is a central well opening that has a chamfered sill and a cambered head. The interior of the well is lined with brick and has a three-quarter circular shape.
