Description
Nos. 59 and 61 on High Street are a pair of terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from brown Flemish bond brick and feature a slate roof. The houses are two storeys high, with a painted stone plinth and vitrified headers on the entrance front. Each house has two bays, with doorways located at the far right and left. These doorways have panelled surrounds, fluted pilasters on the sides, and pediments above. The door on the right consists of six panels, with the lower two being flush and the upper four raised and fielded. The left door is a 20th-century addition, and both doors have rectangular overlights above. On the ground floor, there are two windows, each with three rows of four sash panes, stone sills, and wedge lintels. The first floor also features two similar windows, each with three rows of three panes.
