Description
The Rising Sun is a public house that was originally two houses, built in red Flemish bond brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It stands two storeys high. The entrance front features a stone plinth with arrowhead rustication and benchwork at the far left. On the left side, there are two mid-19th century shop windows with chamfered stone surrounds and leaded 20th-century fenestration. A blocked doorway is situated between these windows. To the right, there are two cambered-headed three-light casement windows, with a doorway in between that has a moulded surround and a gabled porch above it. The first floor has four cambered-headed three-light windows.
