Description
32 High Street is an early 19th-century building that originally comprised two houses, later adapted for use as a bank. It is constructed of stone and red Flemish bond brick, with a slate roof. The front has four bays. The ground floor features doorways at the far right and the second bay from the left, both with panelled surrounds and fluted pilasters, containing six-panel doors with open pediments above. A two-light cambered-headed window is situated on the far left, and three cambered-headed sash windows with plate glass in the lower sashes are placed between the doorways. The first floor has four sash windows, each divided into 3 x 4 panes. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the wall.
