Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3 metres east of the east chancel wall of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a thick flat top with a moulded edge, gadrooned quarter balusters, and fielded panels. The base is not visible, and the entire structure was heavily overgrown with ivy at the time of the survey in November 1983, making any inscriptions unreadable. It lies immediately north of the William Milson monument.
