Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 3 metres east of the east wall of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. It is likely from the late 17th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a cyma mould edge, although its faces are badly eroded and the base was found to be sunk during a survey in September 1983. This tomb is the central one in a group of five that are situated immediately east of the chancel wall and is paired with a similar unidentified monument to its west.
