Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 20 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Mary. It is made of sandstone and features a long, narrow design with a very thick flat top that has a chamfered edge. The chest is plain panelled and has a deep cavetto base, with the end panels also made of thick stonework. At the time of the survey in September 1983, the tomb was overgrown with ivy, making the inscriptions illegible.
