Description
This building is a former maltings and warehouse, now part of the Malt House, located on Hatherop Road in Coln St Aldwyns. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with a brick-topped ashlar chimney. The roof is made of stone slate, with concrete tiles on the slopes facing the courtyard. The structure is two stories tall and has an L-plan layout.
On the west side, there is a mix of window styles, including tripartite sashes to the right of a segmental arched carriage gateway that features plank doors. The upper floor has three small horizontal sliding sashes, all with timber lintels. The building has a ridge-mounted chimney and a timber louvred lantern vent with a pyramidal roof. The north side of the building has a hipped roof at the northwest corner and small scattered upper floor casements. The interior has not been inspected.
