Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th century house situated on the end of a row, likely on the site of a smaller 17th century building. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with brick chimneys and a stone slate roof. The house is three storeys high and has an outshut to the rear. The front elevation features two half gables and a two-window arrangement. The ground floor windows are 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements, each with a hood mould. The middle floor has 2-light casements, and the half gables contain timber windows with iron casements and timber lintels. It has gable end chimneys with brick rebuilt stacks. A lean-to roof covers the rear outshut, which has a doorway with a timber lintel and a four-panel door at its north end. The interior remains uninspected. The building occupies an important position on a street corner.
