Description
The building consists of a barn and adjoining shelter sheds located at The Oranges, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The barn is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a slate roof, while the shelter shed has a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn includes a porch on the south side and a range at the rear left that is in the process of being converted into a dwelling as of February 1986. The shelter shed is situated to the west and has stone-built columns that taper towards the top, dividing each bay. The barn has plank doors set back within a lean-to porch on the south side and double plank doors on the opposite wall. The range at the rear of the barn includes 20th-century casement windows with two lights. Both the barn and the shelter sheds have flat coping at their gable ends.
