Description

The building consists of a barn and flanking shelter sheds located to the south of Parkside Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared limestone. The barn features a corrugated-asbestos roof, while the sheds have pantiled roofs; the shed on the right also has stone-flagged eaves. The structure is arranged in a T-plan, with a gable-fronted barn and flanking sheds on the rear of the returns. The barn is large, two stories high, and has five bays. It includes three rows of breathers on the front gable end, a pair of boarded doors set in large elliptical-arched openings, and two rows of breathers on the right return. The single-storey sheds have elliptical-arched openings with flush voussoirs; the two-bay shed on the left has blocked arches, while the three-bay shed on the right features two blocked arches, with the arch to the right containing a boarded door. The roofs of the sheds are hipped over the returns. This building is included for its group value.
