Description

The garden wall and gate piers in front of Parkside Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. The wall is made of squared limestone and is L-shaped, standing between 1.5 to 2.0 metres high, with flat coping slabs on top. It encloses the front garden of the farmhouse on two sides. The short front section, which is next to a farm building on the left, features small quadrant ramps leading down to a pair of gate piers that have rounded tops. The right return section is interrupted by a gateway and also includes a quadrant ramp at the junction with the farmhouse. This structure is included for its group value.
