Description

The garden wall, gates, and gatepiers adjoining Lower Farmhouse to the southeast date from the early to mid-18th century. The structure features a coursed limestone rubble wall with ashlar dressings, extending approximately 30 meters in length and consisting of five bays. At the north-west end, there are gates and gatepiers. The wall is topped with stone coping and includes buttresses with chamfered offsets. The square gatepiers each have a plain plinth, a moulded cornice, and a large globe finial. There is a pair of 20th-century wooden gates.
