Description
This is a mid-19th century barn and open-fronted store located at Ewepen Farmbuildings in Sherborne. The structure is built from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with projecting porches on both the east and west sides. The open-fronted store extends from the rear right of the barn and is divided into bays by brick-built piers. The west porch now consists of two projecting walls that were originally part of a lean-to roof, while the east side has a projecting lean-to porch. There are ventilation slits in the side walls and gable ends, along with segmental-headed pitching windows in the gable ends. Inside the barn, there are four bays supported by original four-bay king post trusses, and the flooring is made of flagstone and brick.
