Description

This milestone, dating from the late 18th century, is made of limestone and features a cast-iron plaque. It has a conical shape and bears an inscription in raised lettering that reads 'OXFORD / 23 / GLOSTER 23'. It is located on the south side of the A40 in Sherborne.
