Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located on the north side of the A40 in Barrington. It is made of limestone and features a cylindrical column approximately 75 centimeters tall. Attached to the column is a rectangular cast iron plaque that displays the raised inscription 'OXFORD / 19 / GLOSTER / 27'.
