Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located on the north side of the A40 in Barrington. It is made of limestone and features a cast iron plaque. The cylindrical limestone column stands approximately 60 centimeters tall and has a rectangular inscription plaque. The plaque displays the raised lettering 'OXFORD / 20 GLOUCESTER / 26'.
