Description
Inn For All Seasons is an early 19th-century inn that was extended in the mid to late 19th century and again in the 20th century. It features an ashlar facade, while the rest of the building is made of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone. The roof is covered with stone slates and has ashlar stacks. The main structure is rectangular, with a mid to late 19th-century extension on the left gable end and additional 19th and 20th-century extensions at right angles at the rear.
The main body of the inn has two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light 20th-century roof dormers. The five-windowed facade is adorned with 19th-century twelve-pane sash windows and has a band between the ground and first floors. There is a 20th-century plank door with an open pedimented stone canopy supported by moulded brackets located towards the right gable end. A similar canopy is over a blocked doorway, which now has a 9-pane fixed casement inserted in the blocking, situated off-centre to the right. Another 20th-century plank door with a similar canopy is found in the left-hand return. The building has gable-end and axial stacks with cappings and skirtings, and flat coping at the gable ends. The interior has not been inspected. The inn was formerly known as The New Inn.
