Description
This is a barn located 30 meters west of Ivy Cottage, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features alternating flush quoins. The roof is made of stone slate with coped verges and has a weathervane on the north side. The barn has a large hipped central projecting cart entry on the east, which includes dressed quoins, a timber lintel, and renewed timber infill for the double doors. There is also a low-level entry on the opposite side with a cambered timber lintel. The structure consists of six bays, supported by a tie beam and two collar beams, with the upper collar beam being double. At the rear of the projecting cart entry, there is a brick arch at the wall plane. The barn has square vents throughout and slit vents at the gable apex.
