Stow Lodge

Stow Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge located in Cirencester. The building features coursed squared limestone on the front and left side, while the right side and rear are made of coursed squared limestone rubble. It has a stone slate roof that is hipped at the rear right and a rendered ridge stack with two diagonal flues that have been rebuilt in brick. The lodge has an L-plan layout with the gable facing the front right and is a single-storey structure with an attic, comprising a three-window range.

On the ground floor, there are two two-light and one three-light timber glazing bar casements, all set in plain reveals with stone cills and hoodmoulds. There is also a similar two-light window in the gable to the right. The left side features one two-light window and a blocked doorway with a chamfered reveal and a basket-arched head on the ground floor, along with another similar window on the first floor. The gable on this side is coped with moulded kneelers and has the base of a finial at the apex. The right side includes a 20th-century half-glazed door and a two-light timber glazing bar casement in a plain reveal with a stone cill. A single-storey lean-to wraps around the rear right corner and contains three 20th-century windows, as well as one 19th-century two-light timber casement. The building has flush quoins at all angles. The interior has not been inspected.
