Description
The barn at Norcote Farm is a large structure dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is built of coursed rubble stone and has a stone slate roof. The south side features a large gabled cart entry in the center, which has a timber lintel protected by a metal sheet. There is only one door on the left side of this entry, along with a small door in the left-hand return. To the right, there is a lean-to with a corrugated-iron roof. The barn has an opposed flush entry that is partially blocked and consists of five bays supported by king post trusses. There is a blocked pitch hole on the east side and scattered square vents throughout the structure.
