Description
Number 55 is a terraced house with attached railings, built around 1820 to 1834. It appears on Merrett's 1834 Map but not on the Post Office Map of 1820. The house features stucco over brick with a concealed roof and has tall brick stacks on the left side.
The exterior consists of two storeys with two first-floor windows and a first-floor band. It has 6/6 sash windows throughout, with the ground floor windows being taller. The entrance on the right side is a part-glazed door with six fielded panels, a lattice frieze, and a fanlight with radial glazing bars. The building is topped with a low parapet that has copings.
The interior has not been inspected. The subsidiary features include lancet railings with urn finials that are adjacent to the house.
