Description
Number 31 is a terraced house dating from around 1820 to 1834, as it is shown on Merrett's 1834 Map but not on the Post Office Map of 1820. The house is constructed of stucco over brick with a concealed roof, featuring iron balconies and railings.
The exterior has two storeys and two first-floor windows, primarily fitted with 6/6 sash windows that are taller on the first floor. These windows have plain reveals and sills. The entrance, located to the left, includes a six-fielded-panel door topped with a lozenge frieze and a fanlight that has batwing and circle glazing bars.
The area railings are designed with stick balusters. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, this location was known as Hewlett Street according to Merrett's Map.
